Google Analytics

If you are driving traffic to your ecommerce site via Online Marketing then the Integrated Google Analytics Reporting feature will allow you know exactly what kind of return you are getting on your marketing spend.

We've added full support for Google's new tracking code into the the reference build of Citrus-Store 2.0, (our RMS/POS 2009 integrated ecommerce system). With some additional setup inside Google Analytics and inside your store we can show full per source conversion tracking, including order values. You can see actual pound values for specific sources of traffic and campaigns.

We've been able to do this for some time, but not from within Google Analytics which brings all of this information together in one place. Our old system was also cumbersome and difficult for a none 'techie' to make decisions. This new approach is invaluable for making quick and accurate decision making about marketing spend and return on investment.

This functionality provides you with a great tool for calculating return on investment across all of your online marketing campaigns, whilst adding this is fairly straightforward, we've also added support the Analytics tracking system to all of our marketing feeds and newsletter tools, so all of your marketing returns can be viewed in one place. You can see a screen grab from a limited set of test data below which shows revenue from Google Natural Search, Froogle (Google Shopping), direct traffic and Yahoo natural search.
